    12V vs 24V — what's the difference?

    12V 24V
    Best age ~3–6 ~5–8+
Speed gentle (~3–5 km/h) faster, more torque
    Terrain flat/paths grass & inclines
    Seats single single or two
Parent remote recommended under-5s often available

    How to choose

Pick the voltage band by age/weight, then check the model's max rider weight. For under-5s a parental remote lets you steer and stop while they learn. Smooth paths suit 12V; backyard/grass favours 4WD with suspension.

    Safety

Always supervise. Use flat ground away from roads, driveways and pools. Seatbelt on, start in low/remote mode.

    FAQ

What age is a ride-on car for? Most suit 3–8; 12V for younger, 24V for older/heavier kids.

Do I need the parent remote? For toddlers/under-5s, yes — the safest way to start.
